Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Scrapped Storyline Plans For King Corbin
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE recently scrapped a storyline plan for King Corbin.
The original plan was for Corbin to be managed by Drake Maverick. Here is what Meltzer said (h/t to Ringside News):
“[Drake Maverick] is still General Manager of 205 Live. He never did end up managing Baron Corbin which was the original plan. You know, we never did find out who the guy was under the ring tripping Roman Reigns.”
My Take:
- Drake as Corbin’s jester would have been funny. I still think that they could do that storyline in a few weeks. We will have to wait and see.
4) Booker T Continues To Tease A Royal Rumble Appearance
Booker T continues to tease that he will be taking part in the Royal Rumble PPV this year. The event will be taking place in his hometown of Houston, Texas.

My Take:
- Booker in the Rumble match would make sense. He will receive a nice pop from the crowd and it will be fun to see him in the ring with some of the current WWE roster. Dude also looks pretty jacked for 54 years old.
