Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Backstage Note On The Tag Team Turmoil Match At Wrestlemania 37
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), Natalya was the one who pushed hard for WWE to feature a tag team turmoil match at Wrestlemania 37. Natalya wanted more women to get included on the card after the cancelation of the Wrestlemania women’s battle royal .
Here is what Sapp wrote:
WWE sources have indicated that Natalya pushed hard for the Tag Team Turmoil match to be included on WrestleMania, as to feature more women on the event.
My Take:
- I am also happy that some of these ladies got a chance to get featured on the card. Natalya definitely has a future as a backstage producer after her in-ring days are over. Her and Tyson Kidd are great advocates for the women’s division.
4) Possible Summerslam Location(s)
According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, WWE is hoping to do an outdoor stadium for Summerslam.
Arizona and Texas are two states that are being strongly considered by WWE. Here is what Johnson wrote:
As we mentioned earlier this week in the PWInsider Elite section, there’s been talk within the company about potentially running the show in Phoenix, Arizona as well as potentially Texas. Nothing is set in stone, obviously. With the pandemic, things could change and they could end up in the Thunderdome, but I know internally, they are hoping to be outdoors in a stadium setting, with fans, at least for that show.
My Take:
- An outdoor Summerslam would make sense. WWE reportedly made $6 million for Wrestlemania 37, so they will want to get back to doing more stadium shows.
