Rumor Roundup: Pressure On NXT To Change Takeover Schedule, WWE Moving PPV’s Off The Network? More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) WWE Moving PPV’s Off The WWE Network?

Vince McMahon made some interesting comments during WWE’s call with investors on Thursday. He teased that there are options on the table for WWE to move some of their content to other streaming platforms.

Here is what Vince said:

“We also have an option right now, there’s no more better time, to exercise the selling of our rights to all the majors, quite frankly. All the majors are really clamoring for our content. So that could be a significant increase, obviously, in terms of revenue.”

My Take:

  • This could be a hint that WWE is considering the UFC Fight Pass model. Prelims and other content are on their UFC Fight Pass channel but PPV events need to be purchased individually.

4) WWE Ending Top Feud On RAW?

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Rusev has been off WWE television as of late because the company doesn’t have anything for him (in terms of creative).

If this is true, it seems to hint that the program between him and Bobby Lashley is now over.

My Take:

  • It has been odd that Rusev and Lashley haven’t been feuding for the past few weeks. Their storyline has been a major focus on RAW for the past few months but I think that fans are ready to move on.
