Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) The Original Plans For Brock Lesnar After Crown Jewel
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Brock Lesnar was not originally planned to ‘quit’ on Smackdown.
The original plan was for Brock to announce that he is quitting Smackdown on the November 5th episode of ‘WWE Backstage’. This will be the first episode that airs on Tuesday nights and WWE wanted to save a big announcement for the show.
Due to WWE’s issues in Saudi Arabia, they brought in Brock for the episode and had him quit on the episode instead. This was said to be a very last-minute decision.
Renee Young was teasing a major (surprise) announcement for the debut episode of ‘WWE Backstage’ on Tuesday nights. It appears as if this announcement was going to be Brock quitting. It will be interesting to see what they do now.
4) Vince McMahon’s Backstage Reaction To Smackdown This Week
According to a rumor from WrestlingNews.co, Vince McMahon was said to be very happy with how this week’s episode of Smackdown went.
Here is an excerpt from their report:
Another person who loved the show was Vince McMahon. Whenever he’s dealt a bad hand and talent can’t make it on the show, McMahon’s philosophy is to give fans something better than what was originally planned so that fans feel like they still got their money’s worth even with their favorite stars not being on the show.
After SmackDown, McMahon was telling people backstage that they hit a home run and he seemed very happy with how things went down. The show was rewritten by McMahon just hours before they went on the air. Obviously, Triple H had a lot of influence on the show as well.
