Rumor Roundup: Plans For The WWE Title After Wrestlemania 36, Two Major Names Returning, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Why Sami Zayn Hasn’t Been Wrestling

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sami Zayn is still dealing with some shoulder issues. That is why he hasn’t been wrestling on Smackdown as of late.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

Zayn is still bothered by his shoulder problems which is one of the key reasons he wrestles so little and is mostly in a manager role.

My Take:

  • This makes way more sense than the rumor from a few months ago that suggested WWE preferred Sami as a manager. He is way too talented of a wrestler to not use him if he is healthy.

4) The Plans For Smackdown At Wrestlemania Are Still Not Locked In

According to John Pollock of POST Wrestling, WWE has still not locked in their plans for the top Smackdown matches at Wrestlemania 36.

Here is what Pollock wrote:

**Regarding WrestleMania plans, we are told that the top matches on the SmackDown side are still very fluid and are not locked in. There is the potential for changes to that side and I would expect we will have a better idea of the main direction over the next week with Super ShowDown and the following night’s SmackDown show in Boston. As of now, no matches have officially been announced from SmackDown with the only official matches being Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre and Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair.

My Take:

  • This is interesting because I thought that Roman Reigns vs The Fiend was a lock for this event. Now, I am wondering if WWE is going to put the belt on Goldberg instead. Plus, with WWE doing Bayley vs Naomi at Super Showdown, I have no clue what the top Women’s match is going to be at Wrestlemania. My personal pick would be Sasha Banks vs Bayley but there have been zero hints about that match on television.
