3) WWE Superstar Suffers A Torn ACL
On Instagram, Riddick Moss noted that he has worked the past few months with a torn ACL. Here is what he said:
Over the past 2 months, Riddick Moss has gone undefeated in both #RawUnderground and the #WWEThunderdome, showing elite power, speed, agility, and explosion. While training, I’ve squatted 500, deadlifted 600, and broad jumped over 10’.
I have done all of this with a torn ACL.
Recovery time for ACL injuries are anywhere from 6 to 12 months. As a result, we shouldn’t expect to see Moss on WWE television for a long time.
My Take:
- He is definitely a beast if he has been working the past few months with a torn ACL. I can’t even imagine the pain. I wish him a speedy recovery.
2) WWE Is Looking To Improve Their Viewership With The Younger Demo
WWE announced this week that they have elected Erika Nardini to its Board of Directors. She is best known for being the CEO of Barstool Sports.
The popular speculation is that WWE brought her in to help them with their 18 to 34 demographic. Barstool is big with young adult males and that is what WWE has been lacking for a while now.
My Take:
- It will be interesting to see if any of the Barstool guys make appearances on WWE television over the next little while. They have used Pat McAfee before and he is a former Barstool guy. I am interested to see if we get any of the other guys involved.
