Rumor Roundup: Plans For The Released WWE Superstars, Wrestlemania 37 In Jeopardy? More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around. Make sure to take rumors with a grain of salt as always.

5) Why The WWE Releases Were Rolled Out Slowly

WWE released a ton of talent this week. This included names like Rusev, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson. These releases lasted for a few hours, with new names being announced every ten minutes or so.

According to journalist Tom Colohue, the reason why the releases happened so slowly throughout the day was because WWE was calling each person first before they were let go. Here is what he posted:

My Take:

  • I can only imagine being a WWE Superstar and waiting by your phone all day to see if you are fired. Must have been horrible for the Superstars and their families.

4) Wrestlemania 37 In Jeopardy?

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Los Angeles Mayor, Eric Garcetti, recently stated in an internal briefing that:

“large gatherings such as concerts and sporting events may not be approved in the city for at least 1 year.”

This has generated some concern about the status of Wrestlemania 37, which takes place next year at SoFi Stadium.

My Take:

  • I think it is way too early to say that it will be in canceled. This is definitely a story to keep our eyes on though over the next several months.
