Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) When The Revival Could Leave WWE
The current expectation from many people is that The Revival will be leaving WWE when their contracts expire. The big question is, when exactly do their deals with WWE come to an end?
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Revival might not be able to leave until the middle of June. Here is what he wrote:
It’s expected The Revival is done and that they aren’t going to do a gimmick where they would be doing a comedy act mimicking tag teams of the past which was seemingly meant to bury them, not that such a thing matters these days since I don’t think Matt Hardy was hurt at all and his situation was a double burial. With the injuries each had, the belief was that their deals would be up in early April, but right now WWE is claiming that Wilder’s deal wouldn’t be up until around mid-June.
My Take:
- My guess is that Scott Dawson’s contract expires in April but Dash Wilder’s doesn’t end until June. This is because Dash suffered an injury last year and WWE probably added some extra time to his contract. This would explain why their deals expire at different times.
4) Vince McMahon’s Feelings About Shayna Baszler
According to journalist Tom Colohue, the rumors of Vince McMahon souring on Shayna Baszler are untrue. Vince is said to still be excited to see what Shayna can bring to the WWE main roster.
Here is what Colohue had to say:
There was a report recently that Shayna Baszler had already soured Vince McMahon on her by producing a match that wasn’t met by unanimous applause. To my knowledge, this is not the case. Vince McMahon is still very excited to see what Shayna Baszler can offer on the main roster and I think Elimination Chamber probably proved that point.
My Take:
- This makes sense to me as if Vince was really unsure about Shayna, he wouldn’t have called her up in the first place.
