3) Thunder Rosa Not Interested In Signing With WWE?
Thunder Rosa has been making headlines over the past few weeks. It was revealed recently that she is under contract with NWA until the end of 2021. While saying that, there are still rumors that WWE and AEW are interested in signing her down the road.
During an interview with Busted Open Radio, Rosa seemingly ruled out signing with WWE. This is because she would likely not be able to work on any of the other projects that she is interested in (outside of pro-wrestling):
“I am signed with NWA and have another year with them. When it’s my time, it’s gonna be my time. When my time comes, I’m not going to come as just another person on the roster, mark my words. I’m coming for everything and I’m coming to be on top, just like I did this first time. My value is going to be bigger because I’m going to be a better wrestler, cut better promos, my body is going to be chiseled, I’m going to have a better MMA record. I’m gonna be like, ‘This is all I have to offer, what do you have to offer me?’ That’s what I want when I go to a bigger company. I want them to want me,” she said. “Because of all the projects I have on the side, it has to be a place where I’m able to continue working on what I’m working on. If I’m able to do it with NWA, then NWA. If I’m able to do it with AEW, probably. Now knowing what WWE is doing with things we have on the side, it’s going to be very difficult for me to work on my personal projects. Sometimes, those personal projects are the things that bring you the most joy in life. I don’t want that joy to be taken away from money. If that’s what I have to sacrifice, I’d rather be happy than be a slave.”
My Take:
- She seems like a fit for AEW. She has already appeared for them and they seem to allow more creative freedom for outside stuff than in WWE. There is still plenty of time though for WWE to offer her a ton of money, so we will have to check back down the road.
2) More On The Upcoming Vince McMahon-Netflix Project
News recently broke that Netflix is producing a new docuseries on Vince McMahon. Stephanie McMahon was recently a guest on the Token CEO podcast and shared some new details about the project.
Stephanie revealed that the docuseries is going to be in four parts. She also revealed that it will be “Netflix’s highest-budgeted docuseries in history”.
“For the first time ever, there is going to be a four-part documentary on the life of my father Vince McMahon and it is going to be on Netflix. That’s a really big deal. I’m totally nervous about it because I want to protect my dad, not that he wants to be protected.
My Take:
- This is going to be amazing and I can’t wait.
