1) NXT In The WWE Draft
There was a bit of speculation this weekend about NXT possibly getting some picks in the upcoming WWE Draft. This came after WWE sent out a Tweet that asked fans whos should be the number 1 draft pick for RAW, Smackdown, and NXT. Here is a screenshot:
This was a mistake though as WWE has since deleted the Tweet and re-uploaded it with this:
This seems to make it clear that NXT will not be taking part in the Draft. Some NXT Superstars will likely get selected by RAW and Smackdown but NXT will likely not be getting their own set of picks.
My Take:
- I did get excited when I saw this initial Tweet. A three-way draft would have been wild and would have really shaken things up. Still, just RAW and Smackdown makes the most sense.
