Rumor Roundup: New WWE Show Coming Soon, Change Coming For Seth Rollins, More

3) Update On Social Media Violations In WWE

On Twitter, Dave Meltzer spoke about the rumors that WWE is giving out violations to Superstars who mention third party applications on social media.

Meltzer says that these violations have more to do with Superstars monetizing with third parties, instead of informal photos. Here is what he Tweeted:

My Take:

  • I take this as if they advertise another company or product on their social media accounts (like a paid Instagram ad) they could receive a violation. I don’t think they would get in trouble for wearing a shirt that says Nike in a photo or anything that isn’t a WWE sponsor. Either way, it all seems pretty dumb.

2) Why Karrion Kross vs Santos Escobar Was Postponed

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Karrion Kross vs Santos Escobar was postponed due to a medical issue.

Here is what Meltzer said (h/t to Wrestletalk):

“There was a medical reason I heard yesterday, Tuesday, that the match wasn’t gonna take place. So it’s a storyline out of necessity not a planned storyline. The match was supposed to happen on tonight’s show and it could not. I was really surprised that they announced it for next week, but they did.”

My Take:

  • This is definitely still a match that I want to see.
