Rumor Roundup: New WWE Role For The Undertaker, WWE Star Is Expected To Be Released, More

3) WWE Changing The Name Of New NXT Superstar

On December 5th, WWE filed a trademark for the name ‘Tyler Rust’.

This is the new name of Rust Taylor, who recently signed with NXT. He appeared on the latest episode of NXT during the ‘Thatch-As-Thatch-Can’ segment involving Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa.

My Take:

  • As a ring name, Tyler Rust sounds better to me than Rust Taylor. That might just be me though. I don’t know much about him and I am looking forward to learning more over these next few years.

2) More On The TLC Card

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, WWE recently finalized the match card for the upcoming TLC PPV.

This means that we should expect to see WWE confirm a lot more matches over this next week:

The TLC card itself was finalized at a meeting on Thursday so they should be rolling out the matches now.

My Take:

  • It seems a little late to finalize a card for a PPV. The show is now less than 2 weeks away and seems like it was thrown together at the last minute.
