Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) New Gimmick For King Corbin?
According to Heel By Nature, WWE recently filed to Trademark ‘Happy Corbin’. Here is what the site wrote:
WWE has filed three new trademarks with The United States Patent and Trademark Office.
On 6/25, trademarks were filed for “Happy Corbin”, “Nikki A.S.H.”, and “World Class Championship Wrestling”. The applications were entered into the trademark database on Tuesday (6/29) morning.
This seems to hint at a new potential gimmick for Corbin.
My Take:
- This will either be amazing or terrible. I don’t think there is any in between.
4) Note On How Baron Corbin Is Viewed Backstage
According to Andrew Zarian on the We’re Live Pal! show, Baron Corbin is someone who is loved backstage in WWE. Corbin is said to be very easy to work with and isn’t someone that is combative when working with the creative team.
Here is what Zarian said (h/t to WrestlingNews.co):
“Baron Corbin is beloved in that company. Maybe not by the fans but I can tell you from a former writer one time told me that he is one of the most pleasant people to work with because he will not be combative and he works with you on stuff. And us as fans we look at this and we’re like ‘ah, another Baron Corbin match’ but his heat was so negative where it’s now turned into normal heat in a weird way.”
My Take:
- Corbin seems like a guy who will be a WWE-lifer. He seems to always generate strong reactions as a heel and there has been a lot of praise for him behind-the-scenes. I see him as a staple of WWE programming for many years to come.
