3) Damian Priest’s Future
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is very high on Damian Priest. The company is hoping that he will get a rub while teaming up with Bad Bunny, who is a big name in the Latino community.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
The idea is Priest will get the rub in the Latino community in particular of being Bunny’s tag team partner.
My Take:
- I have always liked Priest and I am happy that he is getting a chance to shine on the main roster. I am excited to see what is next for him.
2) Royal Rumble Production Notes
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Michael Hayes produced Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble.
It was also noted that Abyss produced the match between Goldberg and Drew McIntyre:
Michael Hayes produced the Last Man Standing match with Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens.
Chris “Abyss” Park produced the WWE Championship match.
My Take:
- Roman vs Kevin was the standout match for me and I really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the handcuff botch took away from it a bit but it was still a great match.
