Rumor Roundup: Memo WWE Sent To Superstars, Idea Pitched For NXT, More

3) Goldberg’s WWE Future

According to a report from Wrestletalk, Goldberg has no intention of adding more dates to his current WWE contract.

The final match on his WWE contract was at Wrestlemania 36, which means that we likely won’t see him again for a while:

However, our sources have told us that reason WWE opted to have Braun win the title on Saturday night is because Goldberg’s final WWE appearance and match of 2020 was set to be at WrestleMania, and the Hall of Famer had no intention of adding more dates to his current deal.

My Take:

  • Goldberg is a legend but I just don’t want to see him wrestle again. His matches just don’t interest me anymore.

2) Hint On A Match At Money In The Bank?

@WrestleVotes noted a few weeks ago that before all of the big changes to Wrestlemania 36, there was a plan in place to do a 6-person tag team match at the event. That would be Heavy Machinery and Mandy Rose vs Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, and Sonya Deville match.

Based on the current storyline, it seems like this match is now possible for the upcoming Money in the Bank PPV:

My Take:

  • That sounds like a decent 6-person tag team match for the card. It would also make a ton of sense based on what happened at Wrestlemania.
