Rumor Roundup: Matt Riddle’s WWE Future, USA Network “Furious” With WWE, More

1) Matt Riddle’s Future In WWE

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Matt Riddle is close to signing a new contract with WWE.

This new deal is said to be for three years and will pay Riddle $400,000 per year. Here is what Meltzer wrote:

WWE is working on locking down Riddle, whose contract is up in August. It’s said he’s pretty much agreed to terms for a three-year deal at $400,000 per year guaranteed plus $50,000 for every show in Saudi Arabia.

The story is that Vince doesn’t understand his bro gimmick but loves the vignettes he’s doing as he finds them hilarious.

My Take:

  • Seems like a solid deal for Riddle. Seems like he is going to remain a staple of RAW for the next while.
