Rumor Roundup: Major Absence From Wrestlemania 36, WWE Has Cut Ties With Former GM, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) WWE Has Cut Ties With Former GM

On her podcast, Vickie Guerrero revealed that WWE has cut ties with her after she did some guest commentary work for AEW. Vickie was a guest commentator for an episode of AEW Dark back in December.

Vickie says that WWE is not even responding to her emails anymore:

“I have the podcast now and I had asked to interview some Superstars for my podcast, and they found out I went to AEW and now they don’t even talk to me. Between me and you [David Benoit], they didn’t call me for two years, I haven’t heard from them, what did they expect me to do? Just to sit here and wait for them to call so I could do some work? I love wrestling. I love to work in the ring. And if someone is giving me an opportunity to go and show up and have some fun, then I should be able to because I’m not obligated to anybody. I saw that I pissed in their Cheerios, so be it.”

My Take:

  • This seems petty by WWE. I get that it is a business but she appeared on AEW Dark, which only airs on Youtube. I could see them being mad if she appeared on Dynamite but this seems a bit silly.

4) WWE Roster Changes Coming Soon

According to journalist Tom Colohue, the current plan is still for WWE to do a ‘Superstar Shake-Up’ after Wrestlemania 36.

Here is what Colohue wrote:

Starting today with the Superstar Shake-up plan after WrestleMania. I reported this on Sportskeeda back at the end of December. It still looks likely now. With the amount of time between the report and actuality, there is always a possibility to change but that is the working plan at the moment.

I know there was a Draft back in October, the situation hasn’t changed too much since then but there are some balance issues that are starting to become apparent now particularly with the lack of faces at the top of SmackDown.

Colohue adds that the Shake-Up is planned to have NXT Superstars involved:

My Take:

  • I would not complain about a few changes for each brand. I don’t think that they need to go crazy but this would be an easy way to freshen things up on each brand.
