3) Apollo Crews Was Never Planned For The Money In The Bank Ladder Match
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the plans were always for Apollo Crews to qualify but not compete in the Money in the Bank ladder match:
“The Money in the Bank match was actually taped the week of 4/13. Apollo Crews’ storyline was always planned for him to qualify but not compete in the match and with Styles returning.”
This was obvious already but this means Crews’ injury was kayfabe and not real.
My Take:
- This does tell me that WWE has some plans in store for Apollo after Money in the Bank. Why else would they have had him qualify, just to take him out? I would love to see a match between AJ Styles and Crews, which they could be leading to.
2) WWE Tag Team Not Splitting Up
Otis was recently interviewed by CBS Sports where he cleared up the rumors that he is splitting up with Tucker and is now a singles star in WWE.
According to Otis, these rumors are false and Heavy Machinery is staying together as a tag team. Here is what he said:
“We’re going as strong as ever, baby, oh yeah. He’s always going to be my big brother and be my protector. The character of Otis is really like a loose cannon, I need someone to control me because my emotions get so high even I can’t control them as a human being. …
“Heavy Machinery is full tilt. Just because there’s a little bit of absence here and there, I’m sure everyone is stirring up conversation and putting their opinions out there. But that’s a part of it. That’s a part of the mystique of what’s going on right now in WWE. I talk to my brother every day; I call him every night.”
My Take:
- I am a fan of Heavy Machinery, so I am happy that they aren’t splitting up. Otis can do some stuff by himself and also team with Tucker.
