1) How Vince McMahon Views The Revival
A current rumor making the rounds is that Vince McMahon plans to turn The Revival into a comedy act over the next few months.
According to WrestlingNews.co, Vince doesn’t see The Revival as anything more than just a midcard act. Here is an excerpt from their report:
I was told by more than one person in WWE that McMahon doesn’t see them as more than a mid-card act.
“[The Revival] grew up watching Mid-Atlantic Wrestling and they try to wrestle like the old school tag teams. Vince never watched any of that stuff. He didn’t watch them in NXT either so he doesn’t see anything special in them. Even if they sign new contracts, yea they might get a nice push for a few months but he will get tired of them again and they will be in a similar spot as they are in now. Things would work out better for them if they were sent back to NXT.”
My Take:
- If this is true, I definitely see The Revival heading to AEW. That is a company that really values tag team wrestling and I could see them wanting to make the jump. We will have to wait and see though.
