Rumor Roundup: How Those Backstage In WWE View Matt Riddle, Change Made To Super Showdown, More

3) Future Match Involving WWE Legend?

According to Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler on his podcast, Bray Wyatt told him last year that he wants to have a match with him.

Here is what he said:

“And you know, after we did the little thing a while back on Monday Night Raw (August 2019), before I was back doing commentary. I just came on for a guest appearance. Bray Wyatt came to me afterwards and he said ‘King I would love to work with you down in Memphis.’”

I would love to have a have a match with Bray Wyatt or The Fiend either way.”

My Take:

  • I would be down for a quick match between The Fiend and Lawler. It would have to be a quick one though as Lawler is old.

2) 4 Superstars Banged Up After Smackdown

Braun Strowman and Elias faced off against Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro on Smackdown in a ‘Symphony Of Destruction’ match. News broke after the match that Nakamura needed some staples to fix a cut in the back of his head.

According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, all four guys ended up banged up after the match. Here is what he said (h/t to Ringside News for the quote below):

“Well, [Nakamura] was bleeding everywhere and got stitches. You know that all four of the guys in that match — I don’t wanna say hurt — but, banged up — maybe I can say hurt, but not injured I forget what the terminology is. All four guys had something bad happen to them in that stupid match.”

My Take:

  • WWE will probably think twice about booking another ‘Symphony Of Destruction’ match anytime soon.
