On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about the match between Ricochet and Drew McIntyre on RAW this week. This was a fun match, which saw Drew pick up the win.
During this discussion, Meltzer noted that there are plans to push Drew and Ricochet strongly on RAW. Meltzer also noted that Drew is likely going to be pushed to the very top of the card on the red brand.
Keep your eyes on Drew over the next few months as he could be an upcoming challenger for the Universal Title.
2) Vince McMahon Working Hard To Get A Women’s Match At Crown Jewel
According to journalist Tom Colohue, Vince McMahon has been working hard to get a Women’s match on the Crown Jewel card.
Here is an excerpt from his report:
“In June, at WWE’s Super Showdown event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Alexa Bliss and Natalya were invited along in the hopes that a women’s match could be added to the card at the last minute despite firm opposition from Saudi Arabian authorities. Sources indicate that negotiations continue in the hope of making that happen at the upcoming Crown Jewel show”
“I am being told that WWE have continued negotiations with the Saudi Arabian authorities essentially since that day. Vince McMahon himself is believed to be at the forefront of the discussions”
