3) Scrapped Plans For Wrestlemania 36
Wade Barrett was recently interviewed by Wrestling INC. During this, he confirmed the rumors that WWE was planning something for the NEXUS at Wrestlemania 36.
Barrett says that he turned down the offer from WWE. Here is what he said:
“I was called in January or February by the Talent Relations team in WWE about something they wanted to do during WrestleMania to coincide with the 10th anniversary of NEXUS. I actually turned it down as I didn’t like the offer or the plan. I saw Darren [Young] just after that and he said he was gonna go and do something with them. But I wasn’t going to be involved in whatever it was.”
My Take:
- Based on this comment, I feel like it had something to do with Wrestlemania AXXESS and not the actual PPV. I could see that being the reason why Barrett wasn’t interested in coming back.
2) More On The Fans Who Attended RAW
According to Wrestling INC, the (real) fans who attended RAW this week had to sign waivers. These waivers said that they couldn’t send out spoilers or take pictures.
The waiver also said that WWE wasn’t liable if they were to contract COVID-19:
We had noted that some of the people used are local diehard fans, while others were friends and family of the wrestlers. They had to sign waivers to not take pictures or send out spoilers. They received a free t-shirt as well.
We also learned that the waivers that they signed stated that WWE wasn’t liable if they contracted COVID-19 and that there could be inherent risk attending the event.
My Take:
- I am not sure if the fans brought anything different to RAW then the crowd full of WWE Performance Center recruits. The show sounded the same to me.
