Rumor Roundup: Current Creative Plans For Roman Reigns, Big Name Switching Brands, More

1) The Current Creative Plans For Roman Reigns

According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWinsider, WWE is planning to push Roman Reigns as the top heel on Smackdown moving forward. This comes after Roman was recently paired with Paul Heyman.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

As you saw at the end of Friday Night Smackdown, Roman Reigns is now aligned with Paul Heyman. In a piece of news that will please all the fans over the years who rejected Reigns as a babyface, PWInsider.com can confirm that going forward, the plans are to push Reigns as the top heel on the Smackdown brand going forward.

It was also noted that WWE is planning to push The Fiend as the top babyface on Smackdown moving forward:

With Braun Strowman also recently turning heel (which as of this week, is planned to be a permanent role for Strowman), we are told that WWE will be using Bray Wyatt as a babyface going forward with the idea of The Fiend being the top babyface for that side of the roster.

My Take:

  • I definitely can’t wait to see more of Roman and Heyman together. If it was up to me, I would do (heel) Roman vs (babyface) Big E as the main event of Wrestlemania 37. That would be a really good match.
