5) Note On Ronda Rousey’s Future
According to journalist Tom Colohue, Ronda Rousey is currently negotiating a new contract with WWE.
Here is what Colohue had to say:
This also could have some bearing on some roster changes. We look at Ronda Rousey, who is a possibility to return soon. She is potentially approaching what would have been the end of the three-year contract that WWE initially announced that she had but I can also say with confidence that contract negotiations are ongoing for a brand new contract that would essentially start around the time of this year’s WrestleMania.
My Take:
- I am still holding out hope for Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch. If it was up to me, I would book that match for Wrestlemania 37. Either way though, I would be happy to see more of Ronda in WWE, whenever she decides to return.
4) Backstage Reaction To The Undertaker’s Promo
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, there were some people in WWE who were rubbed the wrong way by The Undertaker’s promo on RAW this week.
During the promo, The Undertaker told AJ Styles that he came to WWE after all of the big names like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Shawn Michaels had left. The implication was that the talent of today isn’t on the level of those from the past.
My Take:
- I really liked The Undertaker’s promo but I did think that part was a bit odd. He didn’t need to crap on the entire roster because that is a problem that WWE still has to this day. They can’t rely on guys like The Undertaker and Goldberg forever.
