3) Stone Cold’s Status For Wrestlemania 37
According to a recent interview with Wrestling INC, Stone Cold Steve Austin will not be involved at Wrestlemania 37.
Here is what Austin said:
“They didn’t reach out to me this year. I think they got their hands full with what they’re doing. I think it only makes sense for me to come back maybe in Texas or LA. It’d be great to go back to Dallas. So we’ll see what happens there, but I’m fine sitting at the house watching this one.”
My Take:
- I always love seeing Stone Cold, so that sucks. Still, I am sure that he will play a major role in Wrestlemania 38, where the event takes place in Dallas, Texas.
2) WWE’s Upcoming Taping Schedule
According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, WWE is pre-taping next week’s episode of RAW on Tuesday. They are also taping the first half of the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony on the same day.
Here is WWE’s taping schedule for the rest of the week:
Thursday 4/1 – The second half of the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will be taped in advance of airing on 4/6.
Thursday 4/1 – WWE will tape Friday Night Smackdown for Friday 4/2 and Friday 4/9.
Friday 4/2 – WWE will tape Friday Night Smackdown Friday 4/2 and Friday 4/9.
WWE will break down and move out The Thunderdome and move it to The Yuengling Center on 4/3 in advance of its official debut there on Monday 4/12, the day after Wrestlemania 37. WWE will produce programming out of there until early August.
My Take:
- Seems smart for them to pre-tape all of this stuff prior to Wrestlemania. Especially the Hall of Fame ceremony, so they can cut out any of the long pauses and stuff that doesn’t need to be included.
