3) Released WWE Star To Return?
Rey Mysterio was recently interviewed by ESPN. During this, he spoke about Cain Velasquez, who was released by WWE several months ago.
Rey noted that he thinks that Cain will be back in WWE at some point. Here is what he said:
“I can’t dig into the exact situation with Cain. I do know for a fact that he’s very dedicated, he’s very passionate about lucha libre and about wrestling, I know this was one of his biggest dreams to be a part of the WWE. I honestly don’t think that he’s gone for good. I think he’s going to make an appearance and a comeback.”
My Take:
- I feel like Cain didn’t get a great chance with WWE. I would like to see him get another shot because I have heard good things about his matches in AAA.
2) NXT Superstar Speaks With Triple H About TV Time
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), Xia Li went directly to Triple H after she was not being used on NXT television.
Triple H was said to have appreciated the initiative that she took. Here is what Sapp wrote:
She should be credited heavily for being on NXT more often. Several within NXT have told us that Xia Li grew frustrated from not being used much on NXT TV after years with the company and went directly to Triple H to express that she felt ready for an opportunity. We aren’t sure verbatim how the conversation went, but we’d heard from others in NXT that said Triple H appreciated the initiative, and Xia Li was adamant that she could hold her own if trusted with an opportunity.
My Take:
- Good for Xia Li. It goes to show you that you should believe in yourself and go after what you want.
