Rumor Roundup: Cancelled WWE Plans For Tyson Fury, New WWE Signings, More

1) Cancelled WWE Plans For Tyson Fury

Tyson Fury was recently interviewed by Behind The Gloves. During this, he revealed some of the plans that were scrapped for him in WWE due to COVID-19.

Fury says that he was originally supposed to take part in Summerslam and Wrestlemania in 2020. He was also supposed to face Drew McIntyre at a PPV event in the United Kingdom.

Here is what he said:

“I was supposed to go to SummerSlam last year and I was supposed to go to WrestleMania last year, and I was also supposed to fight Drew McIntyre in a pay-per-view event in the UK. But none of that happened thanks to COVID.”

My Take:

  • Fury wasn’t that great when he wrestled Braun Strowman, so I can’t say that I am too upset about this. While saying that, it was only his first match, so I would give him another chance. Plus, Fury is a major name and would have gotten a lot more eyeballs on Drew McIntyre, which would have been great for his career.
