Rumor Roundup: Cancelled WWE Plans For Tyson Fury, New WWE Signings, More

3) Update On The Plans For The WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony

According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), the current plan is to pre-tape the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in some capacity.

Sapp added the following:

“It isn’t ideal, but something that WWE realizes is probably best for the time being.”

My Take:

  • This would make sense to speed things up. They are doing both the 2020 and 2021 classes on the same night, so it will be a long show.

2) The Plan For WWE’s Move To Peacock

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Peacock will not have the entire library from the WWE Network until about Summerslam.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

The plan is for the complete migration of the complete 17,000-hour library of what was on the WWE Network to be on Peacock by SummerSlam.

My Take:

  • This definitely sucks for fans who love to dig into the archives and watch old content.
