Rumor Roundup: Brock Lesnar’s Status For The Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania Booking, More

3) More On WWE Signing Japanese Star

According to Yahoo Japan, Meiko Satomura is heading to WWE on a full-time deal. Here is a quote from the report:

It was revealed on the 28th that Meiko Satomura (41) of Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling (Senjo) has signed a contract with WWE, the world’s largest professional wrestling organization, as a coach and player.

Meiko will be working in NXT UK as a trainer and a wrestler:

She is currently participating in WWE UK and will be staying in London, where the organization’s training center is located.

My Take:

  • Meiko is someone who is extremely talented. I want to see her face names like Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Asuka etc.

2) WWE Files Lawsuit

According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, WWE recently filed a lawsuit against United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

World Wrestling Entertainment filed a lawsuit against U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in the United States District Court of Connecticut on 1/26, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

The nature of the lawsuit is currently sealed to the public. One would think it is centered around the company not being able to get either a talent or an employee into the United States, a process that was greatly exacerbated under the Trump Presidency due to policy changes. Martine G. Cuomo, an immigration attorney, has filed documents on behalf of WWE for the lawsuit.

My Take:

  • It will be interesting to find out the Superstar(s) who inspired this lawsuit. Rhea Ripley seems like she could be one of them but we will have to wait and see.
