3) Backstage Note On The Plans For Dominik Mysterio
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, a plan discussed for Dominik Mysterio is for him to lose several more matches. This will lead to him turning on his dad, Rey Mysterio.
Here is what Meltzer said:
“I know what the story is, but I also know that any long term story with WWE can be dropped at any moment, but if it is not dropped, the way the story is formulated, Dominik does have to lose his matches for a while to get that frustration to do the turn.”
My Take:
- I am definitely down to give Dominik a chance as a heel. Interested to see how he does if it happens.
2) Original Plan For Hit Row’s Debut
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), Top Dolla was originally penciled in to face Jinder Mahal and Shanky on Smackdown. Instead, two members of Hit Row defeated some local enhancement talents.
Here is what Sapp wrote:
On the internal run sheets, Top Dolla was not listed for the match, and they were slated to face Jinder Mahal & Shanky
My Take:
- Watch out for them to face Jinder and Shanky in the future. Seems like a match that would make sense.
