3) More On Deonna Purrazzo’s Release From WWE
Deonna Purrazzo was one of the Superstars from NXT who was released a few weeks ago. We have some more details to pass your way about her release from the company.
During an interview with Sportskeeda, Deonna revealed that she never directly asked for her release from WWE but made it clear that she would like to leave if they weren’t going to use her. Here is what she said:
“We had conversations where I said, if nothing is going to happen for me, I’d just rather be let go. I think, overall, I was really… I must have been afraid to ask straight up to be released but, once they fired me, it was kind of like, “Oh, this is what I wanted.” I was never scared of that. Exciting times is more what I’m looking forward to than being sad.”
My Take:
- Deonna is a talented lady and I wish her the best of luck in what she does next. She seems like a good fit for the AEW Women’s division but we will have to wait and see.
2) More On Cain Velasquez’s Release From WWE
Another name who was released by WWE is Cain Velasquez. According to journalist Tom Colohue, Cain received a “hefty payout” from WWE for this release.
Here is what Colohue Tweeted:
My Take:
- Cain Velasquez’s run in WWE sucked. I feel bad for him though as he showed a ton of potential in AAA before signing with WWE but never got to show it. They rushed Cain into the main event too quickly and it backfired.
