3) WWE Creative Team Member Receives A Promotion
According to a report from Ringside News, WWE has promoted Ed Koskey, who is a member of the creative team.
Koskey is now the Senior Vice President of Creative Writing. Here is what the site wrote:
Ringside News has learned that Ed Koskey is now SVP of Creative Writing. He was a Vice President, but now he’s a Senior Vice President.
Kosky was moved over to the SmackDown brand in September, 2019 after a long stint as lead writer on the Raw team. Now Koskey has even more responsibility in the company.
My Take:
- I feel like I have heard the name Ed Koskey during a lot during various podcasts. This is good news for him and I wish him the best. I am not sure if this will change anything though but we will have to wait and see.
2) Backstage Respect For The Miz
On the Fightful Select Q&A podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked if there are any current Superstars who receive a lot of praise backstage by their peers.
Sapp named The Miz as someone who overcame a lot of bullying in his career. This has led to him gaining a ton of respect. Here is what he said (h/t to Sportskeeda for the quotes below):
I’ll give you an example this week. I wouldn’t say constantly, but I was talking to somebody about Lio Rush’s tweet and if there was a bullying culture in the WWE, and I won’t go into specifics about that because I’m still working on a story, but I had one person specifically put over The Miz, and they said, ‘I was around when The Miz was around, and he got more s*** than anybody I’ve ever seen, and he stuck around, and I’ll always respect him for that because he should not have gone through that, and the locker room should not have been like that.
I had a person very high up that really complimented Miz an awful lot in that regard, and I think that said a lot because he is an ultimate team player.
My Take:
- I definitely have a ton of respect for The Miz. He is someone who always dreamed of being a star in WWE and didn’t let anything stand in his way. I am also glad that there seems to be less of a bullying culture in WWE now. Nobody deserves to go through that.
