Rumor Roundup: Big NXT TV Update, Update On Charlotte Flair’s Status, More

3) Update On Charlotte Flair’s Status

According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, Charlotte Flair was removed from the Wrestlemania 37 poster as a precaution. This is in case she would not be cleared in time for the event. This comes after Charlotte announced publicly that she recently tested positive for COVID-19.

Here is what Johnson wrote:

PWInsider.com is told that while she disclosed the illness yesterday, she actually had tested positively previously, which is why she had missed several recent Raws. WWE removed Flair from Wrestlemania advertising out of caution in case she would not be cleared in time to return to storylines. As we had previously reported, the Andrade-WWE release situation had no bearing on Flair not being on Raw.

As we reported yesterday, there was talk over the weekend that she might be on Smackdown this week.

My Take:

  • My guess is that Charlotte will be added to the match between Rhea Ripley and Asuka at Wrestlemania 37. That would be a fun triple threat and I don’t see Charlotte being kept off the card.

2) Hall Of Famer Rejects Coaching Job With WWE

Molly Holly was recently a guest on the Talkin’ Sass podcast. During this, Molly revealed that she has turned down a coaching position with WWE at the Performance Center.

Here is what she said:

“Yes they have [asked me to coach at the Performance Center] and I just don’t want to. It sounds terrible but I’m just — I’m so far removed from that world. I don’t want to be this like grizzled, bitter, jaded trainer who is like, I don’t know. They need to have trainers who are passionate about pro wrestling, who love the psychology of it because you can meet certain people on the indies or people who used to work for WWE or people who do work for WWE and they just light up when their creative juices are going and they’re like, ‘Oh, you could do this, you could do that’ and it’s like, those are the kind of people you need to have as a trainer. Even though back in the day, I might’ve had skills or experience as a trainer, I’m not at that place now where I feel excited about doing that type of job”

My Take:

  • Molly would be a great coach for WWE but I respect her decision.
