Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) The AJ Styles Trade Was A Last-Minute Decision By WWE
According to a report from Ringside News, AJ Styles being traded to Smackdown was a last-minute decision that was made by WWE.
The site says that the episode was taped in advance and WWE had Michael Cole later dub in the extra piece of audio about Styles switching brands:
It sounded like Cole was in two different rooms on different microphone within seconds because he was.
Ringside News has learned that Michael Cole recorded those lines his home studio. It was told to us that the lines were a “late change.”
When asked why Michael Cole doesn’t have the same microphone at home so it sounds the same, our source replied: “That was strange, wasn’t it?” They also said that they “don’t know why WWE audio production isn’t up to the state of the art capabilities.”
My Take:
- AJ being traded has me feeling like WWE made the decision to put the Intercontinental Title on him. He seems like the new favorite to win the belt but we will have to wait and see.
4) WWE Star Has Some Creative Freedom
According to journalist Tom Colohue, Seth Rollins has a solid amount of creative freedom on RAW right now.
Colohue says that the WWE creative team has been listening to a lot of Seth’s ideas. Here is what he said:
Since Paul Heyman and Bruce Prichard came in, there has been a clear effort that the creative team is listening to the wrestlers more. Daniel Bryan has had a lot more say over what he does. Seth Rollins has had a lot more say over what he does other than he was told that he would be working with Drew McIntyre as they needed him there. But with Seth, a lot of what he is doing now is under his own direction.
That dates back to Hell in a Cell. He made the choice to steer into the fan impression and turn heel. He made the choice to have that sermon where he preached to everyone after Survivor Series because he was taking the p**s out of someone who was telling that he had a rah-rah speech that he apparently did not have, and since then, the creative team has been very openly listening.
The initial pairing with the Authors of Pain was suggested to him but since then he has been steering his own path. He has been going under his own direction. He chose Murphy. He has been very open about the fact that he has been very impressed with Murphy and I’m sure over the next few weeks how impressed he is with Austin Theory and how much he wanted to work with him. Seth is out there looking for people to fit what he is trying to do and I don’t think anyone is going to be turning him down anytime soon.
My Take:
- I think it is cool that Seth has some freedom. I also like his pairing with Murphy and Theory. My guess is that they will add another member or two in the upcoming weeks.
