3) Backstage Concern In WWE Over Positive COVID-19 Test Result
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select (subscribe here), WWE was really concerned after Jaime Noble tested positive for COVID-19.
This concern is because Noble works very hands-on with a lot of members of the WWE locker room. Here is what Sapp wrote:
“There was some concern among members of the roster after Jamie Noble noted that he’d tested positive, as Noble is very hands-on in his production. He’s one of the people that physically repositioning people. There’s no heat on him, as he’s widely regarded one of the best producers in the company, it was more of a “wish we knew” type of situation. It’s not a personality trait of his that raised the concern, as many producers have to reposition people in the same manner for contract signings, angles, and the like”.
My Take:
- This makes sense as Noble is the guy who works with Superstars inside of the ring before shows. That seems like an easy way to spread the virus to other people. Not his fault but I get the concern from WWE.
2) Vince McMahon Has A Lot Of Trust In RAW Star
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon has a lot of trust in Rey Mysterio.
This comes after the news that Mysterio is currently working without an official contract with WWE. Here is what Meltzer wrote:
It’s notable because in this type of an environment, with competition, from a legal standpoint, Mysterio could show up on the 7/15 Dynamite show or 7/18 Impact PPV show and not on this show. Now, that isn’t going to happen and it shows the trust Vince McMahon has in Mysterio to book a guy in a key PPV angle who could legally walk out in mid-angle or no-show the PPV card.
My Take:
- Rey has been with Vince for many years, so I am not surprised by this. I wonder of Dominick is under a longer contract with WWE, so Vince has a bit of leverage on his side.
