3) Changes Possibly Being Made To The NXT UK Roster
WWE has recently removed Tyler Bate, Trent Seven and Joe Coffey on the official NXT UK banner on their website. They have now been replaced on it by Mark Andrews, Flash Morgan Webster, and Ilja Dragunov.
Coffey was suspended by WWE back in June after some sexual assault allegations came to light. It is currently unclear about the statuses of Tyler Bate and Trent Seven.
My Take:
- Since there has been no suspension announced for Tyler Bate and Trent Seven, I wonder if this means that they will be moving to the regular NXT roster. The NXT tag team division is a bit weak right now and they could really help.
2) MVP’s Future With WWE
MVP was recently a guest on the Gorilla Position podcast. During this, he revealed that he is currently negotiating a (new) long-term contract with WWE.
Here is what MVP said (h/t to POST Wrestling for the quote below):
“It went so well that I was invited to San Antonio the night next for Monday Night RAW and I was given an opportunity to wrestle Rey Mysterio who’s my son’s favorite wrestler and then I was offered a job as a producer which I accepted because I had the intention of retiring anyway, and I was working as a producer and then I was asked to do an on-screen V.I.P. Lounge and then I was asked to do a short match and another on-screen segment and another and another and another and before I knew it, my producer — my responsibilities as a producer became less and less as I was asked to do more and more as talent, and now I can say that the WWE and myself are in negotiations for a long-term deal.”
My Take:
- I have enjoyed MVP’s run so far and I am happy for him. I am excited to see what is next for him and ‘The Hurt Business’.
