3) Why WWE Stopped Airing Classic Matches During RAW & Smackdown
Dave Meltzer was asked on Twitter why WWE stopped airing classic matches on RAW and Smackdown. This is something that the company was doing prior to Wrestlemania 36.
According to Meltzer, Vince McMahon simply decided against airing more classic matches, which is why it has stopped:
My Take:
- I wonder if WWE will start going back to this since ratings are dipping a bit. We will have to wait and see but I didn’t mind watching the odd classic match.
2) WWE Tag Team Out Long-Term
News broke this weekend that Jimmy Uso suffered an injury. John Pollock of POST Wrestling has now confirmed that Jimmy will be out of action for the long-term.
According to Pollock, Jimmy will be out for 6-9 months:
It was first reported by Ringside News that Uso (Jonathan Solofa Fatu) suffered a knee injury, POST Wrestling has confirmed the injury is to the knee and the timetable is estimated at 6-9 months to make a recovery. We have not been able to confirm the specific type of knee injury that he sustained.
My Take:
- This likely means that Jey Uso will be kept off television as well. The tag team division is definitely going to miss The Usos over the next several months.
