1) Backstage Reception Of The Wrestlemania 37 Main Event
According to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select (subscribe here), the main event of Wrestlemania 37 (night 2) received great reviews backstage. This was the Universal Title match between Roman Reigns, Edge, and Daniel Bryan.
It was mentioned that Roman Reigns specifically was getting rave reviews for his performance. Here is what Sapp wrote:
Those that we’ve spoke to said that the match went over well backstage, and to no surprise, Roman Reigns is getting rave reviews for his performances.
Sapp also added the following about Reigns winning the match:
Roman Reigns going over was the plan since early on in the angle, though it’s not known if that wavered at any point.
My Take:
- Reigns vs Edge vs Bryan was definitely one of my favorite matches of the entire weekend. I think they also made the right call keeping the belt on Roman as he is doing an incredible job as Champion.
