3) Another Possible WWE Signing
According to a report from Tokyo Sports, Hideki Suzuki was recently spotted at an airport in Japan. He is reportedly planning to head to the United States.
Speculation is that Suzuki could be heading to WWE. This is because he was a guest coach at the WWE Performance Center last year.
My Take:
- I have seen a bit of Suzuki in Pro Wrestling NOAH and he was really good. I am excited to see more of him.
2) No Immediate Changes To NXT
There have been a lot of rumors as of late about NXT possibly changing nights. WWE’s recent move to Peacock has only added fuel to those rumors.
According to ProWrestling.net, there are no immediate changes coming to NXT and it is staying on Wednesday nights, for now at least:
A line in in the WWE press release regarding its new streaming agreement with Peacock seemed to point to the NXT television series moving to the streaming service. When listing network content, the press release read: “In-ring shows like NXT, NXT UK and WWE 205 Live, as well as replays of Raw and SmackDown.” However, ProWrestling.net has learned that NXT will remain on USA Network and will continue to be available on WWE Network via next day replay.
My Take:
- This is something that could change by the end of the year but for now, it makes sense that NXT will stay on USA in its normal timeslot. This is definitely a topic that we will have to revisit as the long-term future of the brand is still unclear.
