Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.
5) Backstage Update On WALTER
According to Mike Johnson of PWinsider, WALTER is now open to moving to the United States on a full-time basis. This comes after some changes in his personal life.
Here is what Johnson wrote:
There’s no concrete update. When he initially signed with WWE, we were told WALTER was steadfast that he didn’t want to relocate to the States, which the company respected. Over the last year, we are told that there have been changes in WALTER’s personal life that have led him to being more open to moving to the States. It hasn’t happened but the belief is that’s more and more likely to happy now than it would have a few years ago. So, stay tuned.
My Take:
- It has always been believed that WALTER wouldn’t be able to be on the main roster or regular NXT because of where he lives. This is definitely something to keep your eyes on. WALTER on the main roster or NXT on a weekly basis would be very interesting.
4) Backstage Note On WWE’s Recent Firings
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE Superstars that were fired were not told that it was because they didn’t get vaccinated. While saying that, Superstars have been told that they are less valuable to the company if they don’t get the vaccine.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
“Regarding vaccinations and people being fired, while nobody was told that if they didn’t get vaccinated that it would threaten their jobs, there were people very much encouraged to get vaccinated. One top wrestler who was not vaccinated was told that if you didn’t get vaccinated you would be less valuable to the company due to not being able to go on overseas tours.”
My Take:
- Regardless of where you stand on the vaccine, it does make sense from WWE’s standpoint. If they can only use you in say 50% of arenas, you aren’t as valuable as someone who can make every show.
