3) Backstage Note On WWE Day 1 (Part 2)

According to @Wrestlevotes, there were lots of creative pitches for the WWE Day 1 PPV that were all declined. This included changes to the presentation of the event and more.

Here is what the account Tweeted:

In coordination w/ the Day 1 theme, multiple presentation ideas were discussed regarding the look & feel of tomorrow’s PPV. Everything from different rope colors, mat colors, camera angles etc and from what I’m told ALL were declined. Sheesh.

My Take:

  • I am always down for changes if they are going to make the show better.

2) Backstage Note On WWE Day 1 (Part 3)

According to Sean Ross Sapp on Twitter, the WWE Title match was originally planned to go for ten minutes longer than what we actually got. This was prior to Brock Lesnar getting added to the match.

Internally, the main event was slated for much much longer — 30 minutes with entrances. It went about 20 with entrances

My Take:

  • I liked the WWE Title match. I feel like it could have been a few minutes longer but it was still fun.
