3) Backstage Note On Goldberg
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Goldberg still has one more match left on his current WWE contract.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
“The biggest name deal up is Goldberg, who has one match on his deal. His deal is huge money for only a couple of matches a year and I believe no-cut as well. It’s a deal that I can’t see making sense for AEW to compete with because they don’t have the Saudi windfall money that carries his deal.
My Take:
- I don’t want to see anymore Goldberg matches. If I am being completely honest, I am bored of him.
2) Backstage Note On WWE Day 1
According to WrestleTix, tickets have sold strong as of late for the WWE Day 1 PPV in Atlanta.
Here is what the account Tweeted:
“WWE Day 1 Pay Per View Sat • Jan 01, 2022 • 7:30 PM State Farm Arena, Atlanta, GA Available Tickets => 1,612 Estimated Setup/Capacity => 9,594 Tickets Distributed => 7,982 (83%) Strong movement of late for this show. Upper decks have expanded”
My Take:
- I feel like it should be a fun PPV and it will be interesting to see if WWE makes it a yearly event as is currently rumored.
