According to a report from Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT, WWE fired Dan Humphreys this week. He was considered to be a key figure in WWE’s International team.
Here is what McCarthy wrote:
In their UK office, talkSPORT has learned that one of the most influential staff members to leave was International Vice President of Communications for WWE, Dan Humphreys. He had led PR for the company globally.
Just last week, his team had won PRWeek’s ‘Best Global Brand’.
My Take:
- Nick Khan really seems to be taking over and putting his stamp on things.
2) Backstage Note On RAW’s New Announcer
WWE announced this week that Jimmy Smith will be taking over as the new lead voice of Monday Night RAW. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Smith has been putting in a lot of work to prepare for his WWE assignments.

As PWInsider.com reported yesterday, Smith, who joined the WWE announcing team at NXT Takeover: Stand and Deliver last month, has been putting in a lot of work to prepare for future WWE broadcast assignments.
My Take:
- I liked Jimmy in the UFC, so I am interested to see how he does in WWE.
