3) UFC Star Keeps Door Open For WWE Future
UFC star Paige VanZant was recently interviewed by Chris Van Vliet. During this, Paige revealed that she has been in contact with WWE about a career with the company after her MMA career is over.
Here is what Paige said:
“I get asked about WWE a lot… I think it would be something I’d be very good at. Because I have the best of both worlds. I was a Dancer, I used to like the entertainment and showmanship side of it… and then the combat sports world, obviously goes into the WWE. But I don’t know that it’s something I could do, both at the same time. I feel like I would want to do that 100 percent. So maybe it’s something that after I’m done fighting in a cage and in a ring, that kind of stuff, maybe I’ll go over to there. But we’ll see, the door’s definitely open.”
My Take:
- Paige would be a great addition to WWE if she decides to join. This would be a great pick-up for the company.
2) Update On Cesaro’s Future
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Cesaro has signed a new contract with WWE. This comes after the rumors that his deal was going to expire with WWE after Wrestlemania 37.
Here is what Meltzer wrote:
There have been reports going around regarding the status of Cesaro. Either he signed or verbally agreed to a new deal a few weeks ago.
My Take:
- Good to see that Cesaro is sticking around. I hope that they give him another chance to shine as a singles guy.
