Rumor Roundup: Backstage Morale In WWE, Royal Rumble Winners, More

3) New WWE Signing Coming In January

According to Dave Meltzer in his daily update for F4WOnline, Jake Atlas has signed with WWE.

Atlas is expected to report to the WWE Performance Center in January. Here is what Meltzer wrote about the signing:

Ken Marquez (Jake Atlas), who came out of Battle of Los Angeles as the basic first choice in the draft after his incredible matches with Jungle Boy and Dragon Lee, has informed promoters he’s not taking any dates after the end of the year.  He reports to WWE in January. He had turned down Impact and ROH and we don’t know if AEW made an offer, but it was known WWE was his choice. Hopefully it works out for him because he’s more talented than all but a few people on WWE’s main roster, but his style is so unlike WWE that it’s a risk. But he’s a guaranteed instant hit in NXT. Marquez was on the TV show Undercover Boss with Stephanie McMahon a few years back.

2) Insane Travel Schedule For Smackdown Stars In November

Mike Johnson of PWInsider recently laid out the travel schedule for Smackdown Superstars over the next month. It is safe to say that these guys and girls don’t get enough credit for the amount of travel that they go through.

Here is what Johnson wrote about the upcoming travel schedule for Smackdown:

They will fly next week to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the 2019 Crown Jewel PPV on 10/31.

They will immediately then rush out to fly 6,621miles back to the United States for the 11/1 Friday Night Smackdown taping in Buffalo, NY.

The Smackdown crew goes home the next day and after a short rest, will then head out to Europe for next month’s UK tour, which runs through 11/13 in Switzerland.

Team Smackdown then flies back to the United States for a TV taping on 11/15 in Philadelphia and a live event on 11/16 in Washington, DC.

Then, they finally get to go home!
