3) More On NXT Possibly Changing Nights
There were rumors this past week that suggest WWE has discussed permanently moving NXT to Tuesday nights. According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this is something that Vince McMahon rejected a few months ago.
Here is what Meltzer wrote about the situation:
Vince McMahon decided against it at the time because he didn’t want to give the impressions that they had backed down in the fight publicly, and privately, there was the issue of whether AEW going unopposed would do numbers in certain younger demos that would come close to Raw & Smackdown. The discussion was before the period AEW started winning a few weeks in women 18-34 and the week AEW won 18-34 overall even with opposition.
My Take:
- I do find it hard to imagine that Vince will just give up and move to a new night. I expect him to fight it out for a little bit longer before making a decision.
2) The Mystery Woman From Smackdown
On this week’s episode of Smackdown, a mysterious vignette aired. This vignette only showed a woman in high heels. This has led to a ton of speculation on social media about who this could end up being.
The most popular name being speculated on is Chelsea Green, who has been rumored for a main roster call-up for a while now. The same goes for Vanessa Bourne, who is also rumored for a main roster call-up. They appear to be the top candidates at the moment.
Eva Marie is also a name that has been guessed by fans. She commented on the vignette on Twitter:
My Take:
- I think that it will be Chelsea Green but we will have to wait and see. Bourne or Green would both make sense here.
