Rumor Round-Up: What FOX Originally Wanted For Smackdown, Seth Rollins’ Future, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) Eric Bischoff’s Role Before He Was Fired

News broke on Tuesday that Eric Bischoff had been fired from his role as the Executive Director of Smackdown. This comes only a few months after he was named to the role.

According to a report from Sports Illustrated, Bischoff did not have any creative freedom on Smackdown prior to him getting fired:

Unlike Paul Heyman overseeing Raw, Bischoff was never given creative authority on SmackDown. He was originally intended to oversee creative, but multiple sources confirmed that his directive was largely to observe.

4) Rumor Killer On An Upcoming Steel Cage Match

A few eyebrows were raised after a steel cage match was announced between Bray Wyatt and Seth Rollins. This was for the November 4th edition of Monday Night RAW.

This appears to be the main event dark match for after RAW goes off the air. This would mean that it won’t affect any current storylines. This seems likely for a match that will only be for the fans in attendance:

In other words, we aren’t really going to see a steel cage match between these two on that episode of RAW.
