Rumor Round-Up: Main Roster Stars Asking To Go Back To NXT, Another Potential WWE Brand, More

3) WWE Looking To Establish Another Brand

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is really trying to establish a new brand in Japan.

Here is what Meltzer wrote:

WWE has been attempting to make moves to set up NXT Japan but it’s become very difficult due to Japanese culture. But that was very high on the priority list and a lot of deals were offered and looked into.

This would be a part of Triple H’s “Global Localization” plan for WWE. He has been vocal about wanting to establish Performance Centers and brands around the world. It looks like Japan is the next major target for the company.

2) Main Roster Stars Asking To Go Back To NXT

According to journalist Tom Colohue, there have been several WWE main roster stars who have asked to go back to NXT.

Here is what Colohue wrote:

A number of current RAW and SmackDown performers have approached Triple H and or Vince McMahon in recent months asking to spend time in or be moved full time to NXT. This is according to numerous sources from within the company and those externally with privileged information.

Finn Balor appears to be the first person to be granted this as he showed up on last week’s episode of NXT. We will have to wait and see if more follow him.
