Rumor On Roman Reigns’ Wrestlemania 33 Opponent

As noted prior, Roman Reigns is likely getting a WWE Universal Title shot against Kevin Owens later next month at the WWE Roadblock: End of the Line PPV. After his feud with Owens, there are rumors going around about what Reigns could be doing heading into Wrestlemania season.

According to Dave Meltzer on a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), the big dog could be challenging a bigger opponent at Wrestlemania 33: Braun Strowman.

WWE has been building up Strowman as a monster over the past couple of months since he split from the Wyatt Family. According to Meltzer, the plan next is for Strowman to feud with the Big Show. This feud will put over Strowman as the true giant of WWE. This feud will include feats of strength including body slam challenges between the two monsters.

After Strowman is finished with the Big Show, Meltzer says that it will lead to a feud with Roman Reigns:

“So, they’re gonna do that, and obviously Big Show is a setup, then it’s Roman Reigns. It could possibly happen at WrestleMania 33”

This would be an interesting spot for Reigns. Reigns had a great match against the Big Show back at Extreme Rules 2015, proving that he can work with bigger wrestlers.
