Sami Zayn’s last match on WWE television came back in August. Zayn was defeated by Cedric Alexander in the first round of the King Of The Ring Tournament. He has wrestled a few matches at WWE live event since that time but he has been mostly used as Shinsuke Nakamura’s manager on Smackdown.
We have a rumor to pass your way about why Sami Zayn hasn’t been wrestling as much.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), Zayn has been dealing with some injury issues. Here is what Meltzer wrote:
Zayn was having trouble with his shoulders in recent months which is why he’s been wrestling less and has been managing Nakamura.
But we’re told he’s okay now and can wrestle but this is the role they have him in.
It should be noted that back in 2018, Zayn had surgery to repair both of his rotator cuffs.
We will let you know if we hear anything more. Good to know that Zayn is okay now though.
